Caffè Appassionato Coffee Company, serving fishermen and women in Seattle's Fishermen's Terminal since 1990, is producing a new line of coffees, specially blended and roasted for the Pacific fishing and maritime industry. These fine coffees have been produced to meet the exacting tastes of a hard-working industry. To honor the fishermen, and to support the good work of the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial Committee, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this coffee is donated directly to the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial.

The Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial, a towering bronze and stone sculpture located at Seattle’s Fishermen’s Terminal, has become a place of reverence and healing for the families of more than 500 local commercial fishermen and women who have lost their lives pursuing their livelihood since the turn-of-the-century.
The Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial Committee is a non-profit organization, directed by a board of fifteen commercial fishing industry volunteers. The organization’s mission is to honor commercial fishermen who have lost their lives at sea, to provide a support network and grief counseling for their families, and to provide safety training and standards for the industry.
The Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial also provides safety scholarships for courses in first aid, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, firefighting and vessel stability. Scholarships have helped fund teaching and training for more than 500 fishermen and women, who have brought those skills back to their own vessels.
The good work of the Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial Committee is funded through community support and industry, corporate, and individual donations, along with two major fund-raising events: The Fishermen’s Fall Festival and the Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial Banquet and Auction.
